Three Tata Cars To Enter Next Generation – Based On Alfa Platform
The Tata Tiago, Tigor and Nexon are the best-selling Tata models right now and the reports state that all the three models are due for a mid-life facelift soon. Tata has planned to give a generation change to its three popular models and the company is working on Nexon subcompact SUV, Tiago hatchback and Tigor sub-4 meter compact sedan. The next generation of all three brands will be based on the new ALFA (Agile Light Flexible Advanced) platform, which also underpins the Altroz hatchback.
What is ALFA (Agile Light Flexible Advanced) Platform?
The futuristic and versatile ‘Agile Light Flexible Advanced’ (ALFA) Architecture comes with a radical new approach to design – allows multiple body styles to meet the evolving aspirations of customers in the automotive market. With lightweight, modular and flexible characteristics, the ALFA Architecture has the ability to evolve into a range of modern, youthful and agile vehicles in a short development cycle. The ALFA platform is the latest addition and would underpin all small-to-medium sized Tata vehicles.
The carmaker says that its new platform has been developed to provide maximum boot space, rear legroom and utility space around the driver. With this platform, the car will receive an all-new interior with high-end features. Rumour has it that the 2022 Tata Nexon might get a new DCT (dual-clutch transmission) gearbox. More details on the upcoming new Tata Nexon, Tiago and Tigor are likely to be revealed in near future.
Launch Timeline – New-Generation Tata Nexon, Tiago and Tigor
There is no official announcement on the launch timeline of the new-generation Tata Nexon, Tiago and Tigor. It is expected that the modified models are likely to debut at the next year’s Auto Expo and the launch might happen towards the end of 2022. Tata Motors is in a much better position right now than it has ever been. Its cars feel premium and most of its cars are selling well.
Tata has a number of new products for the Indian market. The carmaker recently introduced the new Safari SUV with an arresting design, unparalleled versatility, plush and comfortable interiors. Tata Motors, India’s leading automotive brand, has introduced the SUV in nine variants XE, XM, XT, XT+, XZ and XZA+, and two different seating layouts – Six and Seven. The next big launch from the home-grown carmaker will be the Tata HBX concept based mini SUV that’s reported to arrive in mid-2021.
