Third Generation Suzuki Swift Sport Launched In Malaysia

It’s hard to believe that it has been more than 5 years since Suzuki formally exited the Malaysian market. Well, fans of the Suzuki can now celebrate its return – Company has appointed Naza as its sole distributor, and the first car to be launched under the stewardship of its subsidiary company Naza Eastern Motors is the third-gen Suzuki Swift Sport. The price? The Suzuki Swift Sport – SSS is priced at RM 139,900 in Malaysia, which translates to Rs 25.29 lakh in Indian currency. The factory warranty is 03 years or 100,000 km.

Powertrain – Boosterjet Engine – 6 Speed AT

The 2021 Suzuki Swift Sport is powered by a 1.4-litre, four-cylinder, Boosterjet direct-injection turbo engine that puts out 140 hp of max power at 5500 rpm and 230 Nm of peak torque between 2500 to 3500 rpm. The wastegate valve regulates turbo boost pressure by opening or closing the gate, dramatically quickening response and lowering fuel consumption. The direct fuel injection system enhances fuel efficiency by optimizing control of the amount, timing, and pressure of injected fuel in direct fuel injection.

The power is transferred to the front wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission (AT). A manual gearbox is not available with the Swift Sport, but it does get paddle shifters. Naza has no plans to introduce a stick shift model in the future either. The Swift Sport is capable to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h sprint in 8 seconds, before topping out at 205 km/h.

Interior Design

The interior side makes a strong design statement. Decoration panels are graded from red to black colour. An exclusive meter cluster stands out with two separate colour arrangements: a red coloured dial face of the tachometer and a dark silver coloured face of the speedometer. Boost/oil temp gauges on the centre 4.2-inch colour display turn up the spirited appearance. Semi-bucket seats with red stitching are comfortably sculpted to provide ample lateral support and stiffness that optimize your feel for the road, even in high-speed turns. A dimpled D-shaped steering wheel and gleaming stainless steel pedals add to the swift’s ultimate sportiness.
