Tata Motors Discontinues Tectonic Blue Colour of Nexon SUV
The Indian carmaker, Tata Motors has silently updated the colour palette of the Nexon sub-four metre SUV. Tata has discontinued the Tectonic Blue colour for the Nexon. The company has removed the Tectonic Blue colour option from the model’s official web page as well as the brochure. The SUV is currently listed on the official website with only five colour options – Foliage Green, Calgary White, Flame Red, Pure Silver and Daytona Grey.
Please note, apart from the discontinuation of the blue shade, the Nexon sees no other changes. As per the reports, the removed Tectonic Blue color of the model could be replaced by another paint option known as Arizona Blue paint as it did on the Tiago. Earlier this month, we reported that Tata Motors updated the color scheme of the Tiago hatchback.
Tata Nexon Variants, Features and Powertrain
Nexon the subcompact SUV is available in 12 variants across XE, XM, XZ and XZ+ trim options. In terms of features, it comes with cruise control, auto AC with rear AC vents, a sunroof, rain-sensing wipers, and a 7-inch touchscreen unit with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Under the hood, it is still powered by the same 1.2-litre Revotron petrol and 1.5-litre Revotorq diesel engines as before. The former is capable of producing 118bhp and 170Nm of torque while the latter produces 108bhp and 260Nm of torque. A six-speed manual unit is standard while an AMT unit is available as an option.
The Nexon is priced between Rs 7.19 lakh and Rs 12.95 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The Tata Nexon Subcompact SUV has been one of the safest cars in the country with a 5-Star safety rating from Global NCAP in 2018.
