Piaggio One Electric Scooter Unveiled ahead of Global Debut

Italian motor vehicle manufacturer has unveiled its all-electric scooter named ‘One’ ahead of its official debut at the Beijing Motor Show on May 28, 2021. The bike maker revealed this electric scooter on Chinese social media platform Tik-Tok for targeting young consumers. The two wheeler manufacturer is planning to offer the One electric scooter globally. However, it will be initially available in European markets from the end of June 2021.

Piaggio One Electric Scooter: Equipment and Features

The Piaggio One electric scooter will come with features like all a fully digital instrument cluster with auto-brightness, aggressive-looking split LED headlamps, LED tail lamps, LED indicators, USB charging, smartphone connectivity through a dedicated app, a keyless start system, spacious under-seat storage, low seat for additional comfort, robust pull-out footpegs and a wide footboard and two motor maps.

The piaggio One gets a single-sided trailing-link as front suspension while there is a double-sided swingarm with twin shock absorbers at the rear. The braking duties are taken care by disc brakes at both front and rear. The Italian bike maker did not reveal the technical details of the electric scooter. It is expected to be revealed during its official global debut on 28th May, at the 2021 Beijing Motor Show.

However, unlike some of its rivals in Indian markets, the Piaggio One electric scooter will come with a unique removable lithium-ion battery pack for convenient charging options. The company confirmed that the upcoming One electric scooter will go on sale in European markets from June this year. We do expect Piaggio to introduce the One e-scooter in other international markets at a later stage.

The Piaggio’s One electric-scooter looks funky in its design and gets lots of features to please its target customers. With the added flexibility of swappable batteries, Piaggio can capitalise on the flexibility offered by battery-swapping for a quick recharge.
