Norton Powered Zongshen Cyclone RX6 Sports Adventure Bike Revealed
The Zongshen Cyclone RX6 adventure sports motorcycle, powered by the 650 cc, parallel-twin engine has been officially revealed at the 2021 Shanghai Motor Show. For the uninitiated, Zongshen is a Chinese company that inked a deal with Norton bikes in 2017 to manufacture the company’s 650cc twins.
Zongshen Cyclone RX6: Engine
The Zongshen Cyclone RX6’s 650 cc, DOHC, 4-valve parallel twin engine puts out 70hp and 62Nm of max torque. While these figures are in the vicinity of the RX6 Sports Adventure Bike’s competition, such as the Kawasaki Versys 650, it is less than the 84hp that Norton’s engine produced.
Zongshen Cyclone RX6: Design and Chassis
The Zongshen Cyclone RX6 looks like a typical adventure bike, with its large front fairing, windscreen and beefy 21-litre fuel tank. The seats appear flat and wide and there is provision for mounting luggage.
In terms of hardware, the motorcycle is kitted out with KYB fork and offset monoshock and Nissin brakes with dual-channel Bosch Anti-lock braking system.
The bike is available in two flavours. The sport-touring variant rides on alloy wheels, shod with Pirelli tyres while the adventure touring version gets ADV-spec wire-spoke wheels and longer travel suspension.
Zongshen Cyclone RX6: Features
The RX6 motorcycle features keyless ignition, an electrically adjusted windscreen, and a full-color neat-looking Thin Film Transistor dash with Bluetooth connectivity.
Zongshen Cyclone RX6: Availability
The Zongshen Cyclone RX6 motorcycle has been introduced for the Chinese market, at the moment, although the prices are yet to be revealed. It is expected to debut in Europe and UK in the coming months. It is unlikely to make its way to the Indian market.
