The pre-facelift version of the Volkswagen Polo GTI was offered with a 2.0L turbocharged petrol engine that produces 197bhp of max power and 320Nm of peak torque. A 6-speed manual gearbox was offered earlier. However, the new Polo model will get the 6-speed DSG automatic. The hatchback is claimed to achieve 0-100 km/h in just 6.7 seconds before hitting a top speed of 237 km/h.
The 2021 VW Polo GTI facelift will continue to be offered with a high-torque front-wheel-drive set up along with a dynamically tuned sports chassis. The 2021 Polo model is expected to offer sporty driving dynamics along with the comfort of everyday driving.
