New Generation 2021 Maruti Suzuki Celerio India Launch Soon
The new-generation Maruti Suzuki Celerio is all set to replace the current-generation Celerio in our country. The new-gen Celerio has been undergoing rigorous testing for the last few months. We can expect the launch anytime soon. As for the price, it is likely to fall in the range of Rs 4,50,000 – Rs 6,50,000 (ex-showroom). Once launched the new hatchback will rival the likes of Tata Tiago and Hyundai Santro.
2021 Maruti Suzuki Celerio: Exterior
It will be underpinned by Car maker’s Heartect platform, which should make the hatchback more spacious than the current-gen model. The second generation hatchback will also receive quite a few design updates like new swept-back headlamps, a slim grille, tapered roofline, wrap-around tail lights with LED signature, new tailgate, etc. Of course, the second-generation Celerio will be more feature-rich than the first generation model. Other design updates that we can expect the car to get are new multi-spoke alloy wheels and ORVMs with integrated turn indicators.
2021 Maruti Suzuki Celerio: Interior
The inside of the sec-gen Maruti Suzuki Celerio has also been spied some time ago. From the spy pictures, the model is likely to get an all-new dashboard design with a new centre console. The centre console will be flanked by AC vents on either side and AC controls below. However, it might share common switchgear with other cars from the Maruti line-up. We can further expect the 2021 Maruti Suzuki Celerio to get more tech than its predecessor. It will further feature the latest version of brand’s Smartplay touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto. It will also get dual front airbags as standard, Anti-lock braking system, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, reverse parking camera, and more.
2021 Maruti Suzuki Celerio: Powertrain
The new-generation Maruti Suzuki Celerio will be powered by the same BS6-compliant 1.0-litre 3-cylinder K10 engine. However, we can expect the top-sepc variant to get a larger and more potent 1.2-litre K12 engine from the Wagon R. Transmission options will include a five-speed manual and a five-speed AMT (Automated manual transmission) gearbox.
