New Aprilia RSV4 and Tuono V4 Listed on Indian Website
Italian motorcycle manufacturer Aprilia has updated the official Indian website and listed the new Aprilia RSV4, Tuono V4, and their respective Factory variants on the Indian website. This means that the brand is planning to launch the superbikes soon in the Indian market. The bikes were revealed for the first time earlier this year and come in two variants: Standard and Factory.
Recently, Piaggio introduced Aprilia SXR 125 maxi-scooter price tag in India. After starting bookings for the RS 660 and the Tuono 660, the company has now listed the 2021 Aprilia RSV4 and the Tuono V4 on the Indian website. With the addition of the new models, it seems by the end of 2021, the company will have a complete portfolio of six motorcycles, including the RS 660 and the Tuono 660.
At the heart of the 2021 Aprilia RSV4 bike sits a 1099cc V4 engine which produces 217 bhp at 13,000 rpm and 125 Nm at 10,500rpm. The Tuono V4 comes with a Euro5 spec 1,077cc V4 engine that produces 175 PS of power and 121 Nm of torque. The RSV4 is a sports bike with fairing-integrated winglets, while the Tuono V4 is a naked street tourer.
Aprilia RSV4 and Tuono V4 Features
The 2021 Aprilia RSV4 and Tuono V4 have a similar design language, featuring a muscular fuel tank, an upswept exhaust, a stepped-up seat, a raised windscreen, and golden-colored front forks. Both motorcycles come with the same new chassis architecture and a new aluminium swingarm with a reinforcement brace. Both motorcycles also come with high-performance parts such as semi-active Ohlins Smart EC 2.0 as standard. The brand has also extensively worked in aerodynamics to improve the efficiency of air flowing over the motorcycle.
The motorcycles come with a triple-LED light cluster, perimeter LED daytime running lights, and “bending lights” function (Cornering Lights). Both the superbikes also feature a new TFT instruments cluster, a Ride-by-Wire throttle, a six-axis inertial unit, a new Marelli 11MP ECU, and refined APRC operating logic.
Aprilia RSV4 and Tuono V4 Safety Features
To ensure the safety of the riders, the 2021 Aprilia RSV4 and Tuono V4 are equipped with disc brakes on both wheels, along with dual-channel ABS, traction control, and wheelie control. Suspension duties are taken care of by Sachs adjustable front forks and a rear mono-shock absorber. The bikes also come with six riding modes, including three track-focused modes.
The 2021 Aprilia RSV4 and Tuono V4 motorbikes are expected to be launched in India soon. It rivals the likes of the BMW S 1000XR. They are likely to carry a starting price tag of around Rs. 25 lakh and Rs. 20 lakh, respectively (both prices, ex-showroom).
