Kia recently revealed the design of the EV6, its first dedicated all-electric model built on Hyundai Motor Group’s EV platform. Yonhap news agency reports, the EV6 equipped with the E-GMP platform offers increased space compared with previous Kia EV models based on the existing platform. Another appealing element of the new interior is the seamless high-tech curved high-definition audiovisual and navigation (AVN) screen. Of exterior designs, characteristic daytime running lights display a sleek, modern appearance along with the model’s Digital Tiger Face, a design progression evoking the spirit of Kia’s Tiger Nose Grille for the electrified era.
The E-GMP platform is expected to be used on seven of the 11 upcoming EVs. It gets a claimed range of 500 km, a sprint time of 3.5 seconds from standstill to 100 km/h, and even a charging time of 4.5 minutes for 100 km range.
