Kabira Mobility launched Hermes 75 Commercial Delivery Electric Scooter

Goa-based electric two-wheeler manufacturer, Kabira Mobility has launched India’s first high-speed commercial delivery electric scooter, Hermes 75 priced at Rs 89,600 (ex-showroom, Goa). The Goa-based EV start-up claims that the Hermes 75, the electric bull is ‘Made in India’ and it has been designed to provide eco-friendly mobility solutions to the last mile delivery partners.

Design and Features

Kabira says that the Hermes 75 is developed and manufactured in India. The scooter is specifically designed for the Last-Mile Delivery Industry to overcome the limitations faced by the Industry. Upfront, the design and styling are similar to other models from the brand. The rear is where this scooter differs from the rest. To do the delivery work with utmost efficiency it gets a huge box in the place of the rear seat. It is the first electric two-wheeler meant for commercial delivery to be approved under FAME II subsidy. Among the prominent features of the Hermes 75 are 12-inch tyres which give high ground clearance to tackle any road conditions, front and rear disc brakes with synchronised braking, a digital dashboard, Mobile App with IoT.

Commenting on the launch, Mr Jaibir Singh Siwach, CEO of Kabira Mobility, said, “Kabira Mobility is in sync with the Government of India’s vision of providing green mobility to all. With the launch of Hermes 75, we intend to reach out to the last mile delivery partners and provide them with eco-friendly mobility solutions. Low operational and maintenance cost will make it a right choice for the riders and partners as well”.

Hermes 75 – Fixed and Swappable Battery Options

Kabira Mobility is providing fixed and swappable battery options with the Hermes 75 commercial electric scooter. The Hermes 75 is equipped with a 2,500W Delta hub motor that is paired with a 60V 40Ah lithium-ion battery. Thanks to this, the battery of the scooter can be charged in 4 hours. A fast charger can juice up the battery to 100 per cent in four hours. The fixed battery gives a range of up to 120 km, the swappable battery allows the rider to cover 80 km in a single full charge in standard conditions.

Thanks to Kabira Mobility for providing the right solution to the last mile delivery which is being done on conventional fuel and personal vehicles, which are not designed and unsafe for delivery purposes. At the beginning of this year, Kabira Mobility has launched its first two hi-speed electric ‘Made in India’ bikes – KM3000 and KM4000. Both these electric bikes received an overwhelming response from the buyers as over 6,000 units were booked within four days of the commencement of bookings.
