Jaguar I-Pace India launch postponed
Jaguar Land Rover was previously set to launch its first all-electric Performance SUV, the Jaguar I-Pace on March 9, but now the carmaker has announced that the Jaguar I-Pace will be launched in India on 23rd March 2021.
Set to become India’s second luxury EV after the Mercedes-Benz EQC, the Jaguar I-Pace will be offered in three variants – S, SE and HSE. Expected to be priced somewhere between Rs 1 crore – Rs 1.3 crore (ex-showroom), the I-Pace is powered by a 90 kWh Lithium-ion battery that comes with 8 years or 1.60 lakh km warranty. The Jaguar I-PACE produces 294 kW and 696 Nm torque, helping it accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds.
The vehicle is fitted with sharp LED headlamps and a massive grille upfront. Inside, the I-Pace is a well-appointed cabin that includes electric adjustable Luxtec sport seats, 380 watts Merdian Sound System, Interactive Driver Display, Adaptive Cruise Control, 3D Surround Camera, Driver Condition Monitor, animated Directional Indicators, Head-Up Display (HUD), and more.
Additionally, I-Pace customers will benefit from a complimentary 5-year service package, five-year Jaguar roadside assistance. Jaguar Land Rover has already tied-up with Tata Power to provide home and office charging options to all I-Pace customers. Further, Tata Power has set up an EV charging network in India with over 200 charging stations, called ‘EZ Charge’, which I-Pace owners will currently be able to access across 23 cities.
