Harley Davidson Pan America 1250 Adventure Bike India Launch Soon
The iconic American brand, Harley-Davidson is gearing up to introduce Harley’s new star-kid, the Pan America 1250 adventure motorcycle in the Indian market soon. This adventure bike is expected to make its debut in India in the next two to three months. The American two-wheeler brand, Harley-Davidson India has updated its website and listed the Pan America 1250 as an upcoming model. As per the official website, the motorcycle could arrive in the Indian market in June 2021.
Pan America 1250 Motorcycle: Design and Features
In terms of design, the Harley Davidson Pan American 1250 will have a unique one. It sports a futuristic design highlighted by a sleek rectangular headlamp that is surrounded by an inverted U-shaped fairing. It also gets a large fuel tank, split step-up style seat, and minimal side panels that expose the mechanical bits of the bike.
The Pan America features everything you’d expect from a proper ADV bike, including wide handlebars with knuckle protectors, cruise control, an engine crash guard, semi-active suspension along with vehicle load control, a high ground clearance, steering damper, hill-hold control, 6.8-inch touch-sensitive full-colour TFT screen, lean-sensitive traction control, cornering ABS, adjustable windscreen, riding modes and wire-spoke rims with knobby tyres.
Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250: Variants and Specs
The brand’s first adventure tourer, Pan America 1250 will be introduced in two variants – Pan America 1250 Standard and Pan America 1250 Special. Please note, both the variants come in different colour options as well as features. The higher-spec ‘Special’ variant comes with a unique Adaptive Ride Height (ARH) feature and semi-active electronic suspension.
The Pan America features ride modes such as Road, Sport, Rain, Off-Road and Off-Road Plus wherein each mode consists of a specific combination of power delivery, engine braking, Cornering Enhanced Antilock Braking System (C-ABS) and Cornering Enhanced Traction Control System (C-TCS) settings. The Standard trim gets five riding modes to choose from. These modes include four pre-programmed (Road, Sport, Rain, Off-Road and Off-Road Plus,) as well as one custom mode which can be set as per rider’s own preferences. The Special trim gets two additional modes that are customisable.
Powering the Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250 is an all-new Revolution Max 1250 engine, a liquid-cooled V-Twin that makes 150PS of power at 9,000rpm and generates 127Nm of torque at 6,750rpm, mated to a six-speed transmission with a slipper clutch.
Harley Davidson Pan America 1250: Price
As of now, there is no update on the Indian pricing, the standard model costs £14,000 (Rs 14.25 lakh) in the UK, while the Special model is priced at £15,500 (Rs 15.78 lakh). We expect the new Pan America 1250 to start from Rs 18 lakh (ex-showroom) and extend up to Rs 23 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Harley Davidson bike will compete with the BMW 1200 GS, Ducati Mutlistrada 1250S and KTM Adventure 1290 Super Adventure.
