Ford Ranger Raptor Special Edition Revealed: Key Highlights
American multinational automaker, Ford has revealed a limited-run trim of its Ranger Raptor pick-up truck, called the Ranger Raptor Special Edition. It will come in three exterior shades – Frozen White, Conquer Grey, and Performance Blue. All the three shaded get matte black and red racing stripes that run from the bonnet to the roof and then the tailgate.

Built-in limited units to ensure exclusivity, the Special Edition enhances the vehicle’s exterior and interior with additional styling. The front tow hooks have been painted in red coloured, the grille up front, front and rear bumpers, flared wheel arches, door handles and signature Ford-embossed grille feature have a matte black finish. The special edition of the Ford Ranger Raptor comes equipped with General Grabber AT3 All-Terrain tyres, which are bigger than the standard model.
Ford Ranger Raptor Special Edition: Interior
The Special Edition of Ford Ranger Raptor has a spacious cabin with automatic climate control, high-grain leather seats, multiple speakers, cruise control, and red stitching on the instrument cluster, steering wheel, and door panels. It houses a Special Edition-only Raceway Gray instrument cluster and a touchscreen infotainment system with support for the latest connectivity options. For ensuring the passenger’s safety, automatic emergency braking, multiple airbags, and a blind-spot monitoring system are available.
Ford Ranger Raptor Special Edition: Engine and Transmission
Ford Ranger Raptor Special Edition is powered by a 2.0L, four-cylinder, twin-turbocharged Ecoblue diesel engine that generates 213hp/500Nm. The engine is linked to a ten-speed AMT gearbox. The drivetrain is offered with the India spec model, however, in a different state of tune, mainly with a single-turbo setup.
Ford Ranger Raptor Special Edition: Price and India Launch
In Europe, this Ford Ranger Raptor Special Edition retails for £41,450 (approx INR 42.63 lakh). There are online reports that suggest automobile manufacturer is considering the Ranger Raptor for the Indian market. If the online reports are to be believed, then the Blue Oval could launch the Ranger Raptor in our market via the CBU route and pitch it alongside the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon.
