Ducati India has updated its product portfolio and launched the 2021 Streetfighter in two variants – V4 and V4 S in the Indian market. The V4 base model is priced at Rs 19.99 lakh and the high-spec Streetfighter V4 S (Ducati Red) variant costs Rs 22.99 lakh. The Dark Stealth color option on the V4 S will cost Rs 20,000 more.
2021 Ducati Streetfighter V4 and V4 S Engine
Both the trims are based on the same mechanical specifications. Streetfighter V4 and V4 S variants of the Italian naked roadster are based on the same Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine that also powers the Panigale V4. The 1,103cc, V-four cylinder, the liquid-cooled motor delivers 205bhp of maximum power at 12,750rpm and 123Nm of peak torque at 9,500rpm. It comes mated to a six-speed gearbox and features a slipper and an assist clutch and a quick-shifter.
Ducati Streetfighter Features
Streetfighter V4 S is loaded with top-spec electronically-adjustable Ohlins NIX30 front forks, Ohlins TTX36 rear mono-shock, and an Ohlins steering damper. The standard V4 version of the motorcycle uses Showa BPF front forks, a Sachs mono-shock at the back, and a Sachs steering damper. For braking, both the trims use the same twin 330mm discs at the front and a single 245mm rotor at the back. In terms of features, this bike includes an LED headlight, a fully digital instrument cluster, aerodynamic winglets, and upright ergonomics.
The premium variant V4 S costs more than the base V4 because it gets goodies such as steering damper by Ohlins, semi-active suspension, and forged aluminum wheels by Marchesini. The motorcycle is available in two color options – Dark Stealth and Ducati Red. Bookings for the Ducati Streetfighter V4 are now open across all Ducati outlets in India, and deliveries will begin soon after the region-wise lockdowns are lifted.
In the international markets, Ducati Streetfighter V4 is a direct rival to the likes of Aprilia Tuono V4, KTM 1290 Super Duke R, Kawasaki Z H2, Yamaha MT-10, and BMW S1000R.
