Ducati Diavel 1260 BS6 Teased Ahead of India Launch
The Italian motorcycle manufacturer, Ducati India has teased the upcoming motorcycle BS6 Ducati Diavel 1260 on the brand’s social media handles, ahead of its launch. Ducati India will soon launch the BS6 Ducati Diavel 1260 motorcycle. In the year 2019, the Diavel 1260 was first launched in the Indian market but now the model is being updated to meet BS6 emission norms. In addition to the BS6 compliant engine, the motorcycle is likely to get few other tweaks as well. It is also expected that the company will bring both Standard and ‘S’ variants of the Diavel 1260 to the Indian shores.
Diavel 1260 BS6 Engine
The Power Cruiser Motorcycle, Diavel 1260 BS6 will be powered by an updated version of the same engine that featured on the BS4 models. Please note, the BS6 model will be more powerful than the BS4 counterpart. The Diavel 1260 BS6 will be powered by a 1262 cc L-Twin Testastretta DVT engine which makes 160 bhp at 9,500 rpm and 129 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm. The engine will be coupled to a six-speed gearbox assisted by a slipper clutch. The engine continues to have a flat torque curve, making for an energetic response when given the beans. Rider electronics include a Bosch 6-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU) along with cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, power launch, and cruise control.
Diavel 1260 BS6 Features
As mentioned earlier, the Italian motorcycle maker will launch Diavel 1260 as well as the higher-spec Diavel 1260 S in India. The Diavel 1260 S gets a superior suspension system and more features. While 1260 gets a 3.5-inch TFT instrument cluster with backlit switchgear, the 1260 S also packs in features like Ducati Multimedia System (DMS) with Bluetooth for telephony, turn-by-turn navigation, LED daytime running light, LED turn indicators, Ohlins suspension, and top-spec Brembo M50 monobloc brake calipers and a bi-directional quick-shifter. Both the Diavel variants get Ducati Power Launch Evo (DPL) system and three riding modes – Urban, Touring, and Sport.
Both trims get different shades for their frame, while the standard gets black-colured chassis, the S model sports a swanky red unit. The BS4 edition of the Ducati Diavel 1260 S was priced at Rs 19.25 lakh (ex-showroom). We can expect the BS6 model to be slightly more expensive.
