Booking for Honda CB500X opens today
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has launched the Honda CB500X. Available in Grand Prix Red and Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic colour schemes, the new CB500X can be booked at Honda’s premium big bike dealerships BigWing Topline and BigWing across the country. Priced at Rs. 6,87,386 (ex-showroom, Gurugram), the premium bike is equipped with the smart ESS (Emergency Stop Signal) technology that detects sudden braking and automatically activates the front and rear hazard lights, which flash to warn nearby vehicles.
Commenting on the occasion, Atsushi Ogata, managing director, president & CEO, HMSI, said, “Honda has been delivering upon its promise to expand the fun culture in India. Today, we are happy to introduce the most awaited motorcycle in our premium line-up – the CB500X. Be it rough city roads, open highways or country track, CB500X is always ready to accompany you for an unforgettable journey”
Based on a diamond-shaped steel-tube frame, the new CB500X gets a telescopic front suspension and Honda Pro-Link mono-shock at the rear with a 9-stage spring preload adjustment. It derives power from 471.03cc, 8-valve, liquid-cooled, parallel twin-cylinder engine that produces 47bhp of maximum power and 43.2Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
“Driven by the passion of fun riders in India and further strengthening our offerings in the mid-size premium motorcycle segment, the CB500X will entice adventure enthusiasts who believe in exploring unconventional trails. This machine serves as a companion for city rides and is a beast on unravelled paths. The parallel twin-cylinder engine offers easy-to-access power and plenty of torque. Together with tough adventure styling, long-travel suspension, a tall windscreen and more, the CB500X invites you to Live Unlike the Others,” HMSI Sales and Marketing Director Yadvinder Singh Guleria said.
The Honda CB500X derives design inspiration from the Africa Twin and is equipped with full LED lighting system (headlamp, clear lens tail lamp and indicators), negative-display LCD instrument console, upswept exhaust, assist/slipper clutch, Emergency stop signal technology and Honda ignition security system.
