Bajaj Chetak Electric Scooter prices increased

Indian multinational two-wheeler and three-wheeler manufacturing company, Bajaj has recently increased the prices of the Chetak electric scooter in India. Bajaj Auto had launched its electric scooter, the Chetak in two variants – Urbane and Premium. Prices for both variants have gone up.

The Urbane is the more-affordable variant and was originally launched at Rs 1 lakh and now priced Rs. 1.15 lakh, after a hike of Rs. 15000. While the Premium variant has received a marginal hike of Rs 5000 and it now costs Rs 1.20 lakh.

Apart from the price revision, the Bajaj Auto doesn’t bring any changes to the electric scooter, both visually and mechanically. The Bajaj Chetak electric scooter continues to be powered by a 3.8kW/4.1kW (continuous/peak power) electric motor, which sends power to the rear wheel via an automated transmission.

The electric powertrain on the Chetak produces 16Nm of peak torque and can deliver a maximum range of 95 km in Eco mode and 85 km in the Sport mode. The e-scooter is offered with both standard and fast-charging technologies and charge time is claimed 5hr for 100 per cent and 1hr for 25 per cent.
