Bajaj Auto Launched Rugged Looking Bajaj CT110X Motorcycle in India
Bajaj Auto, an Indian multinational two-wheeler and three-wheeler manufacturing company, has launched a new bike in the CT range under the name CT110X, with its target market being e-commerce delivery partners. The range-topping variant in the company’s CT line-up, the Bajaj CT110X will sit above the Bajaj CT100 KS and the Bajaj CT110 ES. Bookings for the Bajaj CT110X have already commenced and the motorcycle also reached dealerships ahead of the India launch. As expected to be priced somewhere around Rs 55,000 to Rs 60,000 (ex-showroom), the newly introduced Bajaj CT110X commuter bike has been launched in India at Rs. 55,494 (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Let’s discuss the bunch of components that differentiate it from the CT110.
Bajaj CT110X – Design, Engine and Features
The majority of delivery partners use their own personal vehicles for deliveries, which are not designed and unsafe for delivery purposes. Bajaj Auto meet the requirement of such delivery-oriented two-wheelers with the launch of the all-new CT 110 X. Designed as the rugged version of the CT110 commuter motorcycle, the new CT110X is being offered in four colour combinations. Pitched as a more durable motorcycle, the Bajaj CT110X is equipped with a luggage rack at the rear that can hold up to 7kg and two pillion footrests. It is very convenient to carry the delivery boxes or carriers or bags on this newly launched bike.
At the heart of the Bajaj CT110X is a 115cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine that makes 8.6bhp at 7,500rpm and 9.81Nm at 5,000rpm. The engine comes mated to a four-speed gearbox. The new CT110X sits on a semi-double cradle frame. It gets telescopic suspension at the front and spring-in-spring suspension at the rear. There are 17-inch semi knobby tyres at the front and rear. While the motorcycle has a ground clearance of 170mm, its wheelbase measures 1,285mm, which is slightly longer than that of the CT110 ES.
Commenting on the launch, Mr Sarang Kanade – President, Motorcycles – Bajaj Auto said “With the launch of CT110X, we are offering a differentiated product that adds value through superior features, greater riding comfort and durability without compromising mileage. The new CT110X is for those who have always wanted to own a vehicle which not only looks good but is also strongly built and can take on the toughest of riding conditions. We are putting rider-centric innovation at the core of the CT brand and we are confident that our newest offering – the CT110X, will help us further serve our customers better, in this segment.”
Bajaj CT110X features include thicker crash guards, moulded footpegs, rubber tank pads, a raised front fender, dual-textured seat, semi-knobby tyres and many more. At the front, the bike features a round halogen headlamp encased in a grille with an LED DRL placed just above, on the black visor.
The key rival to the Bajaj CT110X is the Hero Passion Pro TR, however, the latter has been discontinued in the Indian market. The standard Bajaj CT 110 is currently priced at Rs 53,498 (ex-showroom, New Delhi), which means that the CT 110 X costs almost Rs 2,000 more.
