2022 Kia Seltos Nightfall Edition: Key Features and Expected Price

Kia automaker recently updated the Seltos and Sonet model lineup in our country. Both the models come with Kia’s new badges and minor upgrades. The 2021 Kia Seltos was recently introduced in the United States. According to a fresh media report, the South Korean carmaker will add the 2022 Kia Seltos Nightfall Edition to the model lineup that’s likely to be based on the range-topping Spectrum trim. One must note that the new edition will be offered in the 2022 MY in the US market. As of now, the carmaker has no plan to bring it into the Indian market.

2022 Kia Seltos Nightfall Edition: What’s New?

While there is no official images and details of the 2022 Kia Seltos Nightfall Edition, the model is likely to get cosmetic updates over the regular model. Features such as sporty black radiator grille, all-LED setup for lighting, black coloured door sills, black roof rails, indicator-mounted ORVMs and 18-inch matte black alloy wheels will distinguish from the standard model. Similar to the recently updated model, the new premium variant will carry the company’s new logo.

The 2022 Kia Seltos (US-spec version) is reported to get an automatic emergency braking system, lane-keeping assist as standard fitments. Currently, the low-spec LX trim misses out on these features. The interior side of the 2022 Kia Seltos Nightfall Edition is a mystery to us.

2022 Kia Seltos Nightfall Edition: Powertrain

In the US, the new Kia Seltos Nightfall Edition will be offered with the 175bhp, 1.6 litre, four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine and a seven-speed DCT (dual-clutch automatic) automatic gearbox. The SUV also comes with the 146bhp, 2.0 litre naturally aspirated petrol motor option. It will be available with an AWD (all-wheel drive) system.

2022 Kia Seltos Nightfall Edition: Expected Price

The 2022 Kia Seltos Nightfall Edition is estimated to cost around $27,865 (roughly Rs. 20.3 lakh). If launched at this price point, it will be the most affordable variant with 1.6 litre turbocharged petrol-DCT automatic gearbox combination. It’s reported to be $1100 (equivalent to INR 80,200) more expensive than the S Turbo trim.
