2021 Volkswagen Polo Comfortline TSI Automatic Launched in India
German motor vehicle manufacturer has launched Polo Comfortline TSI with automatic transmission in the Indian market with a price tag of Rs. 8.51 lakh (ex-showroom). The new trim powered by a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder TSI (Turbocharged Stratified Injection) petrol engine.

The new Volkswagen Polo premium hatchback is sold in Trendline, Comfortline, Highline Plus, and GT grades. The entry-level Trendline and Comfortline trims use a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder MPI petrol engine developing 75 bhp max power and 95 Nm while the rest of the range is equipped with a turbo TSI (Turbocharged Stratified Injection) engine putting out 109 bhp and 175 Nm. The motor vehicle manufacturer has expanded the presence of the 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission (AT) from Highline Plus and GT trims to the Comfortline – a total of 7 trims available now. The carmaker has a claimed fuel economy of 16.47 kmpl.

Colour Options and Features
The new hatchback is available in Flash Red, Sunset Red, Candy White, Reflex Silver & Carbon Steel paint schemes. The new-generation Polo also gets features like an automatic climatronic air conditioning system and a 17.7 cm Blaupunkt music system, 15-inch alloy wheels, front and rear fog lamps, height-adjustable driver’s seat, tilt and telescopic steering, remote locking, and a rear defogger and wiper. In terms of safety, it comes equipped with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors.

In the near future, we could see the Polo switching to new-gen underpinned by the MQB A0 IN architecture. Volkswagen currently focuses on introducing a host of new sports utility vehicles though as the Taigun mid-size SUV will be launched in the coming months while the facelifted five-seater new-gen VW Tiguan will also debut in the due course of 2021.
