2021 Triumph Speed Twin Teased ahead of Global Launch
The new-gen Triumph Speed Twin has been teased ahead of its official global launch. The largest UK-owned motorcycle manufacturer Triumph Motorcycles has also revealed that the latest generation of Speed Twins will be launched globally on 01st June 2021. The new Triumph Speed Twin is expected to come with a slightly updated design, updated engine internals, and better performance.
About 2021 Triumph Speed Twin
The Triumph Speed Twin has always been one of the more enjoyable bikes powered by a parallel-twin Triumph engine. The 1200cc parallel-twin engine was the soul of the two-wheeler and will continue to be. The British brand has teased the new bike through images that reveal the silhouette of the two-wheeler.
The two-wheeler manufacturer says the latest generation Speed Twin is “evolved in every dimension, with higher performance, better handling, higher specification and even more premium style and detailing.” This gives us a proper hint at what exactly the manufacturer has worked on with this update.
The 2021 Triumph Speed Twin will use an updated version of the same 1200cc, parallel-twin engine. It will feature updated internal components that will make the engine smoother and more eager to rev. The bike maker has been promising a better throttle response on a few of its latest models and we expect the same with the 2021 Speed Twin as well.
2021 Triumph Speed Twin Teased: Design and Features
As for the exterior side, we expect the design language to be similar to the outgoing model. The two-wheeler will still feature a circular LED headlamp with LED Daytime Running Lights, a circular analogue speedometer, circular indicators, circular mirrors, and an upright riding position. Instrumentation duties will be handled by an analogue-digital instrument cluster.
The suspension is expected to be updated. The motorcycle will come with a 41mm upside-down fork up front and twin shocks at the rear. It will still ride on 17-inch alloy wheels. The new Triumph Speed Twin is expected to be launched in India in the next few weeks.
2021 Triumph Speed Twin: Launch and Expected Price
It will sit above the T120 in the Triumph Bonneville range of bikes. We expect it to be priced at around Rs. 10,000,00 (ex-showroom). Once the new-gen Speed Twin gets launched in Indian Market, it will compete against the likes of Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight and also, the BMW R Nine T Scrambler in terms of body style and displacement.
Though the Triumph Speed Twin is one of the most enjoyable bikes in Triumph’s line-up, it didn’t sell in large numbers. Now though, with a number of updates and hopefully new shades, it might just sell well.
