11th-Generation Honda Civic Sedan Officially Revealed

After releasing the Official image of the 2022 Civic sedan on April 14, Honda has now shared what the interior of the car will look like. The carmaker shared a sketch of the cockpit which, it says, will carry a new design philosophy. The carmaker said that Honda showcased the new interior design philosophy that will shape the interior design of future Honda models. 2022 Honda Civic model will be the first car to adopt this new concept.

The Japanese automaker uses the design concepts from earlier Civic models to influence the look of the new model. The overall shape of the new-gen Honda Civic is more angular than the previous-gen model. The new sedan is slightly larger, with an extra 1.4 inches in the wheelbase and 1.3 inches in overall length. The unique windshield pillars are more rearward to accentuate the length at the front. The low beltline creates a large greenhouse. The Civic is available in eight color options, three of which are new: Meteorite Gray Metallic, Sonic Gray Pearl, and Morning Mist Blue Metallic.

The Spacious theme of the new-gen Honda Civic extends to every aspect of the interior, including a convenient oversize centre console, cup holders designed to fit any size cup and a generous front tray. The 11th gen-Honda Civic equipped with a heated front & available heated rear seats, Bose premium sound system, 10.2 inch Digital Display and Heated Leather-wrapped steering wheel.

The Civic features a new headlight design with standard LED headlight, LED fog lights, LED daytime running lights, Mirror-integrated LED turn signal indicators, One-touch power moonroof with tilt feature, Intermittent windshield wipers, Speed-sensing, variable intermittent windshield wipers, Rain-sensing windshield wipers, Chrome tail pipe finisher, Front splash guards and Heated power door mirrors.

2022 Honda Civic Powertrain

The 2022 Honda Civic LX and Sport variants get a naturally aspirated, 1996 cc, 2.0-litre, 16-valve, Port Injection, DOHC, i-VTEC 4-cylinder engine providing 158 horsepower and 138 pound-feet of torque. EX and Touring varinats use a 1498 cc, 1.5-litre, 16-valve, Direct Injection, DOHC, turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with 180 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque. Every trim uses a revised continually variable transmission (CVT), tuned specifically for each engine, with simulated gear changes.
